How long will this build last me?

MSI GTX 770

AMD 8350 4.0 GHz (4.2 OC) 8-core.

Corsair 750w

Corsair 8 GB RAM (4gb x 2)

MSI Afterburner 990 FX

Rosewill CHALLENGER black case, it came with I think 2 120 mm fans and 1 140 mm fan.

It's already ordered and shipping now..
My budget was $800-1000. I almost hit $1000.

Delete this topic ASAP. You made a $1000 build with an AMD CPU. I can see the pitchforks and torches above the horizon already.

I've been told that Intel CPUs are a lot better and more efficient but I really don't know that much about computer building, and Intel CPUs are a lot more expensive. $300 for a CPU? No thanks. I'll go with my $200 CPU.

If you can tolerate low settings at 20-30fps in the future, I'd bet on 7-8 years.

Well, what about when the performance starts dropping and it'll be time for an upgrade?

the i5 4670k is around $200 iirc and should out preform that Cpu. Plus i believe that intel Mobo are a bit cheaper.

Edit: its $240 and comes with a free game on newegg atm.

Just upgrade when you feel you need one. As for the processor, Intel is the best but I'm fine with my 6300. If you're fine with scaling down settings as time goes on you can probably get a few years out of it.

Well, I already ordered it...
But honestly, I could care less on how many FPS I get. I'm good with 30 FPS, I guess playing on console for so long makes me not really care. However, I will be doing a lot more research on Intel CPUs and comparing them with AMD CPUs in the future. Then when I need to upgrade, I'll probably get Intel. As long as I don't have choppy framerate I'm good.

I am continually amazed at the stupidity of people spending all this money on a PC, AND THEN coming here and asking if what they just bought is good.
