How does that work? Pardon my ignorance. I was hoping for something along the lines of a program that would let me assign what keys where or a function in windows I overlooked, I dont understand the scripts thing its asking me for

Write a script that says whenever you press rshift, it outputs enter.

Not that hard.

Im not a programmer, so yeah it is pretty hard for me. Where do I write this script? What do I type? Not everyone who uses this board knows how to program. I click the program and it says an instant of it is running but I see nothing. And is this compatible with windows 7?

For starters, autohotkey is terrible. I still haven't seen an easy to make scripts for it (its not that its hard to learn, its just that nobody should be editing lines of text like this when they only want simple things), and they will NOT work everywhere. (I don't even know why the program is popular exactly because it doesn't work in so many places).

There is a program called remapkey.exe that can allow you to change which keys does what. Its actually a part of the Windows Resource Kit.

I haven't however personally tried it. But its supposed to change it permanently (until you change it back), no need to have another program running or some such for it to work.

You write the script in a textpad document and then rename the file extension to .ahk.
There's a nifty tutorial on their website for how to write scripts, including all of the possible commands.

It isn't really like programming, as all you're telling it to do is "wait until I press X, then make it look like I pressed Y". Everything else is just fancy ways of doing that.

Ok im guessing im supposed to type rshift::enter which I did but nothing changed. I typed it in the middle of the programming code in wordpad. Do i need to do anything ele? Reboot the program? Reboot word? I must say the interface isnt what id expect, I had hoped you guys would link me to a simpler program that doesnt require programming.
