IYO must have mods for skyrim & fallout 3

#1MuintirPosted 3/8/2014 2:40:48 PM
Played both on the ps3 and enjoyed them for the most part. I always heard how much better they are with mods so where do I begin? Any mods for fallout that changes the hit detection? Nothing more annoying than the game not counting something as a hit especially when your site is right on them.

Play New Vegas instead of 3 modded.

Can't speak for 3 since I only play New Vegas nowadays, but for SKyrim:

Monster Mod Reborn
Skyrim Immersive Creature
Interesting NPCs
Inconsequential NPCs
Immersive Weapons
Khajiit Speak (for Khajiit characters)
Moonpath to Elswyer
Quality WOrld Map
SkyUI
OBIS: Bandit Overhaul
Moolight Tales
Deadly Dragons
Dynamic Loot
Unofficial Patches
Hunting in SKyrim
Ars Metallica
Lost Art of the Blacksmith
More Craftables
Legendary Smithing Perks
DFB Random Encounters
High Level Enemies
Guard Dialogue Overhaul
Immersive Patrols
Dungeon Quest Awareness
Skyrim Unique Treasures
Achieve That
Lore Weapon Expansion
Helgen Reborn
Thieves Guild Requirements
Enhanced Blood Textures
Unlimited Rings and Amulets
Sounds of Skyrim

Are these all compatible with each other?

I like playing New Vegas with a Tales of Two Wastelands, which adds FO3 into it. Two games in one.

Good, easy-to-follow list. This will definitely help for my next playthrough.

Would you recommend anything to make combat more enjoyable or to make magic more viable?

Double the game, quadruple the bugs.

SPERG for Skyrim. Just a perk overhaul, but it does wonders for giving you more room to make different characters actually be different.

For Skyrim... Haven't done anything yet myself but these are often recommended as basic mod backbones.

Well, High Level Enemies and Deadly Dragons makes combat more challenging at higher levels, but for magic, you should definitely check out Better Magic, especially if you want Destruction to not suck.
