I run it on maxed except no AA. even insane textures on a 660ti 2gb and vsync 60FPS. it uses 2000mb VRAM though.

Yeah, I was getting 60 FPS at 2560x1600 with the 780 Ti even.

So apparently the devs suspect they can raise the resolution post launch.

"We've been experimenting with making it higher and lower," Baker said during Digital Foundry's interview. "We're going to experiment. The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimize... we don't want to give up anything for higher res. So far we're not 100 per cent happy with any of the options, we're still working on it."

Lol, 1080 vs 792 with FXAA? Why is this even a point of contention? The 1080 would unequivocally be better.

art design is so strong that really the technical on paper visuals of the game doesnt really matter at that point you're missing the point of graphics and visual design.

well i think the problem with that point you're making is that you're assuming that the 1080p vs 900p fxaa is that they have the same impact based on the wording but they never state that nor would that even be the case since 1080p would require far higher shader capability.
