That's a great price on the G930. I don't really care what people think of 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound (could turn it off anyways), $70 for that headset is solid.

All right, I buckled and ordered the G27. Now all I have to do is build a little stand for it that I can use when I'm sitting on the couch.

That looks kinda cool, but I'd say it almost more inspires me to try making my own than spend nearly another $200 to have a good wheel setup.

Sorry, but those just look dumb. The amount of space I have is limited, so I would rather build a multifunctional "tray" I can use for things other than a place for a steering wheel.

What sort of multifunctional tray would you be looking at? My thought with designing my own one of those things would be fairly modular, allowing you to easily swap steering wheel setup with HOTAS and pedals. So yeah, having something *dedicated* for that I dunno, but it is collapsible to let it take up a lot less space... That's a bonus.

I use my G27 on my desk, so I don't actually own one. but setting the wheel up and removing it everytime I'm not racing and want my desk back kind of does make me want a foldable all in one unit that can just be pulled out and ready to go.

That G27 is going to be hard to find for much cheaper. If I hadn't already accounted for my disposable funds this paycheck, I'd totally be grabbing that. Makes me sad I'm going to miss that price.
