Dark Souls 2 Minimum Requirements - WTF??

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/dark-souls-2-pc-requirements-revealed-can-you-run-it/1100-6418173/

Graphics: NVIDIAGeForce 9600GT, ATI Radeon HD 5870

Huh? The only thing I can think of is that it's a typo, and the "8" is supposed to be a "6".

All minimum requirements are is a result of the Devs throwing their game at the worst pc configurations they can find lying around the office to see if it launches the game or not.

The minimum requirements for most games are crap

But lately, plenty of games have required a stronger GPU on the AMD side. And with AMD barely supporting their DX10/10.1 GPUs any longer, it's possible there are driver issues that make the devs recommend higher tier hardware

Uh, hes trying to point out that the 2 cards listed as minimum aren't equivalents. The 5870 is significantly stronger than the 9600GT. Must be a typo on From Software's part.

Hmm, probably true. I remember the CarpeFulgur guy warning me that Chantelise would not be able to run on a 4500mhd, but in fact it ran perfectly at max settings. Still, I'd expect better from a AAA studio...

Speaking of Dark Souls 2... Well, I am bracing myself for some serious disappointment in the graphics department with this one. Word on the street is that the PC version will suffer the same fate as the consoles' with the massive graphics downgrade just prior to release.

The PC version has enhanced textures, by quite a bit. There are screenshots, and you will be pleasantly surprised by how good it looks on PC, trust me. Also since when were graphics that big of a deal anyway? More people play Minecraft then most big games and those graphics are awful...yet that doesn't hinder the experience. So why do people expect the PS3's graphics to compete with PC? WTF is going on? Who imagined this game would be a 10/10 form a graphics stand point anyway?

The Power of Radeom.

Probably more to do with poor legacy support, tbh.
