Why not just buy all the parts that could last upto 5 or 10 years then worry about the ones that fade out every year?

Quiet and cool is better than loud and hot.

nothing is still good after ten years.

and if you wanted to try and get something thats still OK after that time, youd have to build like a $4000 system

where as you could buy a 1000 dollar system, and then do it again in 4 years and it will be much better than the one you spent 4 grand on before.
