I'd like to give it another chance sometime. But after PoE I doubt anything's going to draw me back to Diablo 3. It's been completely outdone.

I enjoy both for different reasons - PoE for the diverse skill tree and character customization, Diablo 3 for the combat, environments and changing up playstyle on a whim. With the release of the loot 2.0 patch the game has changed for the better, you now get steady useful drops for your class, legendaries are now actually legendary and have interesting/useful bonuses (my monk is using an two-handed axe/scythe that throws out axes at nearby enemies for 300% weapon damage in addition to normal damage) and drop fairly regularly, and I've actually gotten a set item. They also re-tooled the difficulty system, added new affixes and abilities to monsters, made crafting relevant - it's like a different game. I would really recommend trying it again if you haven't played in a while - they've fixed virtually everything that bothered me about D3 (and I still did enjoy my playthroughs).

Unless Blizzard patches in the offline single-player and local co-op modes as well as the controller support from the PS3 version, Diablo 3 on PC will remain a second-class citizen.

A lot of people say that with the new loot system it's a lot more enjoyable than it was before.

This. I gave it a 2nd chance after shoving it to the far reaches of my hard drive for months, and I'm actually quite having fun replaying through it now; moreso due to actually finding useful items.

considering Diablo 3 is worse than PoE which you didn't like, then no, D3 isn't for you.

Diablo's gameplay takes a huge dump on PoE. PoE's combat is probably one of the worst I've ever tried in any ARPG. It's clunky and ****ing boring.
Blue skies.

Diablo 3's combat is literally the worst. If you're in range when an enemy attack animation begins, you will get hit no matter how far you run away.

Just try and justify that, fanboy.

Diablo 3 > Torchlight 2> Torchlight 1 >>>>>>> PoE

"ZOMG Dont get diablo 3 itz online only lolololol... play PoE instead"

Diablo 3 was better than all of them before the new loot patch.

Totally worth it if you are a fan of ARPGs, the combat is crisp and fluid, and now the itemization isn't awful anymore.
