Best gtx 760 model/manufacturer

#1easycompany68Posted 3/13/2014 4:00:54 PM
I need some info/tips on the difference between various models of the gtx 760. I watched videos about the evga gtx 760 dual superclock vs regular superclocked and understand it has to do with duo bios.. im wayyy to under techie to use that so i'll stick to the regular superclocked.

However, there are many versions of it (difference manufactures) and various prices. I was wondering if any of the manufactures are "must avoid" or are any "must have".

Also, the evga model comes with ACX cooler. Im just wondering, if all video cards come with the appropriate cooler or are there any models in which you have to add one..

thanks

Avoid pny seems to be the usual thing. Most people consider evga the best, with msi and gigabyte being great too.

I usually go with PNY because they're the cheapest, provide a lifetime warranty, and their support is the best ever.

Unless you're doing something like open loop liquid cooling the fans that come on the card should be fine if you buy a quality brand.

I say you can never go wrong with EVGA. They're consistently beastly right out of the box. Great customer support too.

My MSI card runs fine, but if an EVGA card would be better, just more expensive for a non-reference cooler.

Im liking the reviews and articles on the EVGA version of it. The superclocked more specifically.. real nice.

Bad news for me is that it seems i may have to drop by 100$....(sad face).

Sticking with Nvidia 100% so might have to drop back to the gtx 750ti. I'd like to stick with the 700 series since you get all software options like NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0.. im a hard core noob so anything that helps me early on to maximize my pc helps a lot. Not sure if id get all those options with the gtx 660 at a similar price?

but thanks for all the replies
