Completely revamped my game's (Spark Rising) art style, check it out!

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've come back to this board... been real busy working on the game.

About a month ago I came here looking for feedback regarding some style changes we were making to Spark Rising's art. We put out some videos and screenshots and the reaction was mixed. People thought it looked inconsistent and didn't really fit the world 100%.

So we decided to do a more complete overhaul, adjusting our game's color palette, redoing the UI & HUD, and making sure everything in our level was consistent in theme and style. I think the results will speak for themselves.

As always, your feedback is incredibly appreciated and we'd love to hear how we can make Spark Rising look even better!

I think you picked the wrong day to post this. See, everyone is freaking out about the news that the Oculus Rift was bought out by Facebook for $2 Billion.

Does your game support the Oculus Rift? Do you have any plans for supporting it now?

If Zuckerberg wanted to buy you, how much would you sell for?

I like it! Looks very similar to those open world fps rpgs that the names are just like 3089 or w/e. You don't make those do you?

I personally prefer the brighter colours that you had before. But everything matches really well and if thats the look you are going for it is quite good

Before it looked like legoland. Now it looks futuristic. I like.

You can spend $400 on a console and $400 on a cheap PC, or you can spend $800 to build your own and have the best of both worlds.

The new lighting and coloring really makes everything look a lot more wonderful. Might look really cool with some mild atmospherics like lightshaft rays and fog.

Looks like a game I'd actually buy now is all I can say. It looks like you put a lot more love into the design.

I dare you to keep improving.

Never heard of the game before this topic, but it looks pretty cool. Definitely like the newer style more than the old one.

No plans to support the Rift unless the community demands it. I would sell to Zuckerburg for 2 popsicles and a retweet
