Who cares what new features they add into it. All the cards will be chopped up and locked off into the same performance tiers as they have been doing for the last 10 years.

Every card up to the x60 will be a meager 10% increase over last year and the next lower model. The x70 and x80 will be the only models to use a worthwhile BUS and be grossly disproportionate in performance to everything else. Same old same old.

One new feature that's kind of exciting (to me at least) is that ram has a pretty good chance of being shared in SLI as opposed to the cards having to mirror the data so that they can work on the same problem. Maybe that means the memory bus will no longer be as big a factor as well but I'm kinda doubting that. Who knows though, they could be preparing for 4k and beyond.

Loving the 3D memory. Hope this means an increase in max 3D texture size (obviously due to increased capacity, not because it has "3D" in the name).

What are you talking about? The last several generations it hasn't been unusual for the x60 part to be near the x80 part of the generation before.
