To be fair, the PS4's tech is way more powerful than PCs, but devs just can't take advantage of it that well until they unlock the full potential. GDDR5 is way better than DDR3 and can produce much better results since the PS4 has such a large amount of it.

The PS4 is equivalent to a mid-range gaming pc from early 2011. The PS4 has 8GB of ram but only 2gb is used by the gpu.

GDDR5 is better in some areas that DDR3 ram, but not in every aspect.

Yeah, but once it unlocks, it will use 7 GB and only one will be used for OS. We will have games like Crysis 3 and BF4 running at max. I truly believe the PS4 will be able to run 4k games by the end of the year, and at 60 FPS to boot. GDDR5 will propel PS4 over PC in terms of graphics.

still not the funniest thing i have seen on gfaqs. the funniest was posted in another thread from some guy who said the 360 had the best gpu because it was constantly getting updated with the updates from xbox live.

What you don't realize is that it isn't a laptop graphics card. It's a highly modified APU that is capable of producing graphics never seen on a console not to mention with games like Knack, showing us how many physics the GPU can produce.
