This is a split board - You can return to the Split List for other boards.

You need to buy to Nvidias and sli them together to equal 8GB of PS4 RAM.

The devs have said the campaign runs at 60 FPS. Reviews have said it, as well. The only thing I've even read that doesn't is the MP, and even then, it does, but it gets drops occasionally.

Right cept no, the single player is actually 30FPS while MP is 60FPS

Read that article. They even just had a patch in February that enables the option to lock the FPS at 30 in case you get FPS drops during the campaign, and you would rather play it at just 30, rather than 60 with drops.

Now show me a more recent article where this myth is proved to be false.

Alright. I don't get where it proved it false. Literally every one said that the SP runs at 1080p and 60 FPS, whereas the MP uses a technique where it occasionally drops down from 1080p/60, and most of the time it runs at 50-55 FPS. Again, the SP still is 60 FPS, and the MP, while it may vary usually runs in the 50s and they continue to patch it to make it run better.

This is also a launch game. Once again, wait for the full power to be realized.

IGN

The single-player does indeed run at full 1080p (albeit with an unlocked framerate and a recently added option to lock it at 30 FPS)

bgr

In single player mode, Killzone Shadow Fall runs at a full 1080p

Pocket Lint

So while the multiplayer mode isn't true native 1080p at 60fps, the single player mode is.

but neither is both 1080p and 60fps, that's really the point.

P.S. The single player can't consistently output at 60fps. The lock to the 30fps demonstrates how little the game actually runs at 60fps and how distracting the constant dips are.

Read the link. Every link shows the SP is 1080p and 60 FPS. The MP uses two 960x1080 screens and if it needs to, it cuts the resolution. Pretty smart technique, if you ask me.

The singleplayer cannot output 60fps consistently. The whole point being that if it cannot output consistently at 60fps to the point that the dips are so intrusive they have to make a 30fps lock option its really not running at 60 fps is it? So, it runs sometimes at 60FPS and often dips down far below that.

When someone says I play at 1080p 60fps they don't mean 60fps as the highest frame-rate they achieve. They say it because they can consistently have 60fps at 1080p.

Also, the MP is part of the game right? So the game isn't 1080p 60fps, only part of it is. I dunno why we're arguing this. So don't go around saying the game is 1080p 60fps.

When people say 60FPS, they mean consistent 60FPS. And if the PS4 is running at 60FPS in games, it's cuz it's running on current-tech game engines:) We'll see how powerful the PS4 is, when it runs on the upcoming generation of game engines AS IS (no PS4-centric modification). Really, 1080p/60 should've been the minimum this time around. But nope.

Okay let's say for the sake of argument that right now the ps4 is equivalent to the current PC. That doesn't matter because within two years just like the previous generation the PC will be pulling ahead by miles once again.

Also the thing has a tablet cpu. Only 8 gigs of ram and a mid range gfx card. We all know your trolling but damn its just hard to see someone being so ignorant. Btw I've not been impressed with anything these consoles have done visually. They all look like pc games from 2011. Yeah ive played killzone. Looks like bulletstorm to me.
