Well, you can pay more if you want. The case is pretty much the same price for a mid I guess, WD doesn't really matter because Seagate is just as reliable. 8.1 vs 7 is just preference and will cost a little more.

Those pre-builts are going to give you the crappiest cases, PSU, and motherboard they can find. They don't even list what the PSU is and when someone asked if they could use a 260x GPU with it, they were told they'd have to upgrade the PSU lol.

Try that. Nothing says you have to go with the 750ti over 750 either. 750 is still 3X better than that 7730.

Oh and you can get a motherboard for free if you live near a Microcenter. Had to say it at least.

I live 1 hour from a Microcenter. Is it worth the drive? I like the build you posted btw.

Compare this to the prebuilt. This is an extra $190.. and that's after I took off the cooler master.

Really, I'm thinking of going with the prebuilt..

The 750Ti isn't comparable to a 7730, really. I think that's more GT640 range.

Yeah, they always have good specs but the company which makes them uses the cheapest parts they can find yet still charges a premium price. I remember the last pre-built i bought it had a pentium 4 2.53GHZ cpu, a geforce graphics card and a decent amount of RAM but it had a cheap foxxconn motherboard and a generic PSU with generic off the shelf RAM and graphics card.

An Intel HD 4000 can max Starcraft 2.

That's probably the cheapest you are going to do with what you were asking for. Under $500 and requires you to make a trip to Microcenter to get the CPU and motherboard. That motherboard will require you to update the bios before using the FX CPU.
