Do you guys care about Virtual Reality?

It's a step in the right direction, is the proper answer here.

As it is now.. I'm not interested, but I will support it via word
of mouth to promote it's growth & development. When we're
in a literal matrix playing games. question me on this again &
I'll give you a decisive yes.

Absolutely. I can't enjoy it because it makes me feel pukey, but for the people that can properly enjoy it, it's another way they have to enjoy the games they love. That's a good thing, and I hope it finds a lucrative niche.

I told myself a long time ago, that the day video games look like something in real life, I would stop playing forever. If I want real life, it's there, right outside.

That would make sense if most people could easily do things in real life that they could do in video games with out repercussions.. Unfortunately most people don't have the skills, funds or balls to do things in real life that can be simulated in video games..

Like jumping off a tower in second life, defusing a detonating bomb, or running in front of 30 people all armed with guns?

There is a difference between having balls and just being dumb :P

Anyone who has used a Rift is excited.

I don't think most people really understand how different it is.

My point was that you cant or wont do things in real life that you can or will do in video games.. I was just naming the reasons off the top of my head, so forgive me for missing some..

Nintendo has burned me a few times too many with their silly pointless peripherals. So I'm not excited about VR currently. If they're successful, widely supported, and cheap, I may pick one up in 5+ years.
