Pet peeve: I hate the term "starter PC"

I hate when people term lite gaming and list the games that require the most specs. Bf4, MMO"S etc. MMO's dont fall under lite gaming.
Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage. This is getting ridiculous. people agreeing so far 112

i fricking hate when they use the expression that they "don't want to max crysis" but still something that "lasts a long time" as well as not mentioning a budget in their post too.

The no budget thing is the worst. We can suggest a build for $800 or $2000 or anywhere between, above, and to an extent below, but we need direction ******.

I hate the terms "Future proof" and "bottle neck". Everything will be obsolete at one point. There is not much use in trying to "future proof" a PC for new technology with current technology.

Bottlenecking is an excuse to upgrade IMO. Gaming on a dual core CPU is perfectly viable. Lower-Mid tier GPU's ($120+) and older GPU's are perfectly viable for gaming. You won't be taking an unneeded performance hit unless some of your parts are pretty old, when you actually need to upgrade.

I am tired of seeing posts asking how good their laptop is when they post the specs of a sub $500 laptop. No it isn't going to max out modern games.

I don't really mind it. Yeah they could get to the nitty gritty and tell you everything thats in it, but most people don't want to do that. People like abbreviations, and this one does tell you pretty much all you need to know about the build. It lets you know their intentions and also what the pc is capable of...

My pet peeve is the phrase "lite gaming" which I see used to describe playing old games or indie games on weak hardware.

Just what I was about to post! Need a PC for light gaming. They usually ended up with an HD 6670, the poor fools.
