I hate EA but...

EA is fine overall, stop being so dramatic.

Children love being melodramatic. And most gamers are, well, mental children.

C'mon guys...EA is at least marginally better than Time Warner, apparently.

....

So that's something..........right?

I think all those giveaways and cheap bundles they did sorta made people forget.... People are stupid that way.

I'd like EA a lot better if they didn't have all their games stuck on Origin only. If steam was an option for more than just the really OLD stuff, that'd be nice... Except having all their new stuff on Origin has made me realize I'm not really missing them much at all.

And there's nothing wrong with Origin either.

EA is the like the typical big major company that everyone just likes to hate because they're at the top. Kinda sad really when there's so many other companies out there much worse than EA and heck, EA isnt even that bad now (their CEOs have changed for the ignoramus). What about others like Activision? They've shut down as many franchises and studios as EA but oh, WHERE's THE HATE?

They aren't at the top though.

They are also a terrible company but there are worse...somehow.

I feel the same. I got a few games when they had that $20 bug a while back and haven't touched a single one. The last EA product I purchased was the Humble Origin Bundle. I gave that all to Humble Bundle and the charity though. I haven't activated or played any of the Origin only titles from that.

EA killed my dog and touched my magical girl figurine inappropriately!

Sorry about that.

Oh I hate plenty of companies for various reasons. Capcom has been at the top of my list for a while.

There's nothing wrong with it if that's what you want. It's not what I want though.

Edit: actually there IS something wrong with Origin... I forgot to mention this (or maybe I did somewhere else). I enabled 2 step verification on Origin and kinda forgot about it. Later I went to start it up to just sorta take a look around.

When I did, it said it had to update... and then insisted that I log in fresh and new (even though I had been logged in before the update). I did and then it said "enter the code". Well I didn't get a code. I tried multiple times to get it to send me a code, and the entire time NOTHING.

8 hours later I had like 15 emails waiting for me with my code in it. Thankfully I had remembered to save their "backup codes" so I didn't have to wait 8 hours to get into my own damn account, but that was enough for me.

I said "F*** this" and removed the 2 step verification. If I couldn't find where I had saved the backup codes I would have had to wait 8 hours to get into my account just because EA couldn't be bothered to send me the damn codes.

Yeah, all the games on Origin that I own are a) games they gave me because I had it on steam first, b) games they gave me for free for some promotion and c) humble bundle games that I donated everything to charity when I got it.

I figure one of these days I may want to play Dead Space 1 and 2 (which I have on steam but haven't played) and then Dead Space 3 is waiting for me on Origin if I ever get that far...

While EA is a horrible offender when it comes to milking their products, making them more expensive than they should be, and nickel-and-diming everyone with DLC and such, they do have some quality products. As a business, they're horribly greedy, but as publishers, they do a decent job of putting out some great titles. Which is probably why they're still a major competitor even though no one, objectively, likes them. =P
