I am sorry TC but I don't think you have seen Second Son on an actual TV playing. Yeah it might be 30fps but graphically speaking Sleeping Dogs at 1440p 60fps (how I played it) did not impress me at all, SS however is so breathtaking, and plus it is a way better game. --- WC i5 2500k @ 4.4 ghz, 2x GTX 670 DirectCU II, Samsung 830 128GB SSD, 16GB G.Skill 1600 DDR3, Zalman 1000W PSU, Cosmos 1000 Case, HP LP3065 @ 2560 x 1600 IPS
Yeah, Sleeping Dogs actually was a fantastic game. Enjoyed it enough to burn through it, go collectable hunting, get 100% completion and start going back and forth with friends on the little random feats/challenge leaderboards.
How many parking meters can YOU bash with your door in one combo?! Not to mention spending 20 minutes driving around in circles on the freeway at max speed without hitting anything.
All told, I got around 40 hours out of it, and that's only counting having a couple of the smaller DLCs. Eventually you do run out of stuff to collect or do, and just free roaming *does* lose it's appeal, but until that happens it's quite an enjoyable game. --- PC: http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn233/cody4783/cody4783.jpg
I considered Sleeping Dogs a version of GTA thats actually fun. Yes, I just said I hate GTA. I hate the style and its influence. Its a game for teenagers. Sleeping Dogs was a bit more entertaining, though I certainly didn't waste my time with all the side crap (how incredibly boring can you make your stuff, really). Going through the main game was fun enough, though. Once. Not ever playing it again though. --- http://sfjake.zxq.net/
I completely ABHOR sandbox games like GTA but Sleeping Dogs did it for me. Great fighting mechanics, shooting was ridiculously fun when done right (gunkata, gun fu, etc). Great storyline that didn't take itself way too seriously. Great experience overall.
I dont like the driving in sleeping dogs, but everything else more then make up for that. --- Asus P8H61-MLE/BR | i5 3470 3.2Ghz | Zotac GTX 760 2GB | 8GB DDR3-1333 | 1TB HDD | C3TEC 500Rve 500W Bronze | Samsung 32" LCD 1080p.
I didn't play Sleeping Dogs until a month or 2 ago when it was free on Xbox 360. I ended up loving the game though. It had a pretty good story and pretty fun gameplay but i think what made me really like it is that is was so different than GTA. It was really cool to have a game like GTA take place in the East instead of the West. --- 3DS FC 1719-3711-0721 Gamertag - Brokeslimjim v3 / PSN - Brokeslimjim
My game of 2012, loved it so much, I actually liked the driving also though, especially the action parts. --- My Photography and such: http://insidemyeyes.aminus3.com/ (I take pictures of unsuspecting people and inanimate objects for funsies mostly.)

I..just...I just can't believe what I've read here today cause it's just...ya know such a real, genuine, sincere shock to me that jake-sf doesn't like something. I mean you're just so positive and cheerful and always have just the nicest things to say about everything in this world.
