FTL, any mods that make the game easier?

#1Justice98405Posted 4/2/2014 8:07:48 PM
I know nothing about modding the game, I only know it's got mods. And I'm not good at this game, AND I get bad luck/bad runs on top of that almost every time I play. I DO like the game, but I honestly just want a mod to make it easier on me.

Anything out there? Point me in the right direction if so, please. And how easy are mods to add in and use for the game?

And if it matters at all, I have the GoG.com version of the game.

Easy mode isn't easy enough? I have a lot of trouble while playing on Normal mode, but on Easy mode I can win the majority of the time.

I wouldn't be making the topic if it was easy enough for me.

I don't really see the point, the game is supposed to be challenging. It isn't like you play the game for the story and beat it for the experience.

You can spend $400 on a console and $400 on a cheap PC, or you can spend $800 to build your own and have the best of both worlds.

Beg your master for a dumbed-down console version.

It's not even a hard game. >_>
Luck plays a part but just play it, seriously, wow.

It's mostly luck, you never know if you'll warp into a really hostile encounter or something nice. You can easily get stuck in some rough spots like you're low on missiles and you have to give up someone in your crew to slavers. S*** happens and you only get one life. I haven't played a ton of the game, but I've never made it to the end. FTL is something to play for fun and see what you can learn and accomplish each time.

There is a mod to disable fleet pursuit.

It's easy enough to add with Slipstream Mod Manager.

Why is it that he can hit a 3rd baseman on a frozen rope from 300 feet away, but he can't hit a 12 foot tall catcher from 60 feet 6 inches away?

Pretty sure there are save editors for the game. That'll make it significantly easier.
