Like, can i just play one of them or do i need to play them a...
I consider myself an adventure fan but i never played one (mb a "poser" adventure fan since those series were always considered among the best and i shouldve tried one by now). Thanx beforehand...

You don't really need to play them in any order. But I would recommend it.

You'll miss references if you don't.

Interestingly (or maybe not) the eponymous "sword" is only really in the third game, if I recall correctly.

also, you can probably skip 4 and go straight to 5(the kickstarter project).

The whole first game is about tracking down the broken Sword of Baphomet. And the last chapter of the game is you interrupting the Templars' reforging ceremony.
