I've been experiencing a ton of mouse lag recently, anyone know the quickest way to fix it? It happens way too often, and I've already tried both replacing the batteries and switching USB ports, but no results.

Please explain what you mean by mouse lag. It can be caused by a variety of things, so please tell us any changes you recently made to your computer.

I've made no changes other than downloading games occasionally from Steam, so I wouldn't expect something like that to be causing a problem. It's just that whenever I'm using the mouse, occasionally it'll just stop responding to me moving it or clicking, as if it's turned off for a couple of seconds.

If it just stops responding and you already replaced the batteries then it could be a problem with the mouse or w/e the device that's picking up the signal from the mouse.

Not much you can do to diagnose this problem other then getting a new mouse. =/

Yeah, I feared that may be the case. Oh well, it's not like it'll be a huge dent in my budget.

Thank you!

Try cleaning the mouse sensor too, I had a similar problem when some dust got in mine.
