Why do people say that GFWL is shutting down? The store shut down last year but I haven't read anything about the authentication portion doing so. Anyone have proof to otherwise?

It's definitely shutting down because several games like Arkham City had GFWL removed and the developers wouldn't put in the effort to do unless there was a good chance it would be shut down.

I'd read about that article that was since removed, but it seems like right now the service works and there are no immediate (from the public standpoint) plans to sunset it. I'm guessing that developers are moving off of it out of prudence, and out of not knowing what Microsoft's plans actually are.
