zero issues using hdmi with amd

don't even have to go into audio and swap the preferred device, automatically detects when I'm using my TV vs my monitor and changes the audio accordingly.

This was my issue - http://www.overclock.net/t/1386403/newest-13-4-13-5-catalyst-causing-stuttering-audio-thru-hdmi-fix

I had to change the idle memory speed clocks or it would cause stuttering. Luckily they seemed to have fixed it with the last couple set of drivers.

AMD, it just works. Never had a issue with it. It's as close to plug and play as you can get.

Nowadays I use a DAC but times have changed.

Anyways it sounds pretty good coming from HDMI so yea. I'd just forget nvidia.

I always had infinite trouble with AMD and HDMI audio, while nvidia works great. Go figure.
