Favorite puzzle from the Monkey Island series?

Going with insult sword fighting from the first game. One of my favorite mechanics from any game ever. It really does feel like a grind practicing how to sword fight until you're good enough to face the master, who throws you for a loop with her advanced technique. It's no accident that the phrase "how appropriate, you fight like a dairy farmer" is the most often repeated MI quote

I also thought the gamblers club secret code was pretty funny. That one drove me nuts as a kid and I just want to face palm when the solution dawns on me.

probably the process of climbing the tree with holes in it.

i figured out how to climb it the first time around but was completely stumped when it broke and finally figured out how to fix it as well as use the dog in order to sniff out the map... i was just stoked at the entire process since it was the final map piece i needed in order to progress.

keep in mind i was just a kid with barely any knowledge of english at the time and i'm not even sure that would have helped that much when it comes to discerning the lucasarts logic of puzzle solving.

PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy.

Whoops. Somehow I'll have to get over it. Are you going to contribute your own or did you just want to point that out?

Which one was that? I know in 2 all the ingredients are found in the final area and I don't remember 1 ending like that.

Another one, I remember Tales from MI having this great gag where Guybrush, as a spirit ghost, needs to possess his own dead body.

LOL I saw that immediately.

It goes:

insult: You fight like a dairy farmer

rebuttle: How appropriate, you fight like a cow!

....I had the opportunity to yell at a minotaur in a game of D&D once.
