AMD FX-6300 with GeForce GTX 750ti or i5 4670k with GeForce GTX760??

#11Sora_AnbuPosted 4/17/2014 8:19:17 AM
the 760 is bounds better than the 750ti, more than 10%. You're looking at about 40% better because it's not a 'low power' card.
the 4670k is more than 10% better than the 6300... the 6300 rivals the i3 4130 if that tells you anything.

I think you're trying to troll.

overclocking with intel is now crazy easy. Load a program, play with the numbers, save, reboot, enjoy.

I'll be getting a 650 watt Corsair either way it goes. But a $300 difference, honestly I'm gonna go with the AMD build. I can sell it in a few years for 4 to 5 hundred bucks and use that to make a beastly intel then.

If your building your own why bother with AMD?
I've done the cheap AMD thing and regret it.

Why use intel then?

AMD offers excellent bang for buck performance. I have been running an FX 6300 for sometime now and it runs all my games just fine it's also never crashed or done any of the things a lot of intel fanboys say it should do either. And with the money i saved by not buying intel i put towards a decent graphics card.

Because I wouldn't need an upgrade if I had bought intel the first time.

hmmm I see more Nehalem chips than I do any K10 or Bulldozer chips. Does that tell you anything?

This a very odd choice. You're comparing two builds in completely different budget categories.

The Intel one is objectively better but it's also significantly more expensive. Of course that's going to be the obvious choice if you can afford it.

My advice is get the 6300 and pair it with a beasty card like the 770 or 280x. You'll get a lot of mileage out of that

Why bother even make the topic for opinions when you're going to decide yourself without even considering what people have to say.
