Bottom Mounted PSU - Fan Up or Down

#1BatenKaitos72Posted 4/18/2014 1:34:39 PM
I've purchased an SSD that arrives on Monday, and I will have to rewire my case to get all the connections usable and was wondering, should my PSU fan point up or down?

If there is a vent at the bottom and a filter, I say you face it down. Without a filter at the bottom it will catch dust like crazy.

Yikes. Scary PSU (I'd totally ditch that for a reliable brand), but aside from that, WerdnAndreW is basically correct. If the vent on the bottom of the case is filtered and the case is elevated enough to allow unobstructed airflow, point it down. Otherwise, point it up.
