Can you see images as fast as a fly can see? yes

If you are just a human, no

if you have a 120 hertz monitor, than it's worth it.

If your monitor is a 60 hertz one, then yes, there is no point

60hz is standard for most LCD screens. If you had one capable of going over 60hz you'd know it because you paid extra for it.

So basically, anything over 60fps is wasted since you can't see it because the monitor is incapable of showing it to you.

I should also say that it depends on the game. A high action game is going to benefit more from extra fps than a low action game. Some games (mostly older ones) depend on the framerate to determine a lot of things...

For example in Quake 3 arena, I think 125fps (or somewhere around there) was optimal for certain moves...you had to max out the height of your jump and if your frame rate was lower you would miss out on a couple of crucial pixels.

But yeah, most of the time anything over 60 is probably not necessary for you to enjoy the game.

Preferring to play at anything above 60fps for whatever sake is just ****ing stupid

It's only worth it in competitive games where every frame can make the difference. If you're playing a singleplayer game, no.
Like 10 years ago, when I played CS 1.6 we always turned vsync off to get 100fps, it wasn't much of a difference, but once you get used to it, you can notice the change.
Also don't do it in games that suffer from screen tearing.

Anyone can suggest me some shoes that can withstand running over 200/mpr? I want some really fast shoes.

Personally I notice fps over 60 on my 60hz monitor, up to 120fps is still noticeable.
