Hi all I just found out that I'm getting a big bonus as I've impressed the right people at work :) From my bonus (after taxes, savings, rent and car payments) I plan to spend between 1200-1500 on a computer. I'd prefer to keep it around 1200 but can go to 1500 if its worth it . I live in Canada so no US websites please.
I don't need a Keyboard, Mouse, Blu-Ray burner, O/S, Speakers, HDD and possibly a monitor, SSD and case
I already have an Antec 900 and a 24" Samung monitor. I'm getting tired of the 900 and would prefer something new if there is something worth buying. The monitor is 3 years old and I wouldn't mind a new 27" one. I also have a 2.5 year old 128GB SSD M4 crucial SSD and would like to change it to something 250-256GB if I can afford it in my budget.
If I do decide to buy a new case and SSD, their cost must be covered in the 1200-1500$ budget. The monitor however is a separate purchase if I go through with it. I've read somewhere of a QNIX monitor, what is it and is it worth? I have no preset budget for it but want to be under 500$. Also I will purchase that in June or so if I do at all.
I play games on the computer frequently and need a good GPU, however under no circumstances do I wish to have an SLi setup. The last SLi setup I had still gives me nightmares. I have overclocked my last 3 computer CPU's so a good Mobo and cooling system (not water cooled) is essential.
I've been out of the loop regarding gaming PC's and hardware for a while so I'm not very familiar with the latest in gaming hardware.
P.S My company has a connection to EVGA and so if I buy EVGA parts I can get a refund of around 10-15% upto a maximum of 100$ in rebates. --- j0rd4n34-So what exactly are 6D and 7D movies? Wynters387If someone gets punched in the film an usher comes up and punches you in the face.
