Windows 8.1 update will give it the proper start menu.

Already have the Start menu I want with Classic Shell.

Already moved past the primitive Start menu by using hotkeys and new start screen.

Another idea I had was the spy/sniper being able to climb into the soldier's rocket launcher and be launched across the map, dealing more damage, but no splash.

Only two years too late. However, great that it's finally coming, and there'll be no reason for users with compatible hardware to choose Win7 over Win8.1.

I just hope Microsoft doesn't leave Win8.1 users in the dust once Win9 is released, Microsoft's obsession with tying the newest DirectX to the newest Windows is extremely irritating

Yeah, this has been known for a while. I don't know what's the point, though. It's the same thing. Press the windows key, type the name of a program, press enter, it works.
