Borderlands 2 vs Diablo 3

Diablo 3 will never be good. It's online only.

2 completely different games who's only thing in common is loot.

I couldn't vote. Neither one were my favorite by any means, but neither one were better or worse for me.

Tie.

Why is there so much binary thinking around here - you MUST like one game or another, like choosing sides in some armed conflict. It is possible to appreciate the gameplay/merits of similar games without preferring one over the other.

It's extremely unlikely that you like any two games *exactly* the same amount, even if you like both.

Even though I like a lot of similar games, I never much cared for Diablo, and least of all Diablo III. Borderlands 2 is aces.

D3 had a ton of problems when it was released, but is much, much better now and actually enjoyable. Both are infinitely better than the pile of trash known as path of exile.

Wrong.

We already knew you're wrong. No need to state it outright.

BL2, only because I hate hack in slack style RPGs (when I say hack n slash, I don't mean games like Bastion, Dark Souls, and the witcher 2, but games like Path of Exile and Torchlight, with highly repetative combat). BL2 FPS perspective and different guns gives a variety of combat options.

It is extremely unlikely that you can read my thoughts and have intimate knowledge of my preferences, and nowhere in my post did I say "exactly", I stated it's possible to appreciate the merits of both. But then again, I prefer playing games to trolling message boards, so my arguments fly over the head of your typical GameFAQs poster.

Why does it matter if they are different types of games or not? I would say numerous games of different genres are better than both, that have completely different game play.

I do enjoy both games but I think BL2 is the better of the two, I spent a lot more time on there with friends.
