best option for voice chat?

Teamspeak. It's free and simple. We sometimes use Steam's voice chat but a few games try to take over and it's annoying.

The easiest would be Skype.

I like Razer comms. With steam you can't do group chats.

What...You can have multiple people in a Steam Group chat and then just have everyone turn on Voice chat. Done it a few times for the people who refuse to using basically anything else...

But personally I prefer Skype; Teamspeak is also good, but seeing as I don't have my own server (And have no reason to pay for one), I only use it when playing with others that do.

Steam is alright for the odd thing...But it has basically zero options to it. I prefer to have voice output routed to a headset, while I use speakers for game audio. Steam plays through the default audio device with no way to change it.
