If I were to replace my GPU

I have an extra monitor sitting in a box that I'd like to use but I can't because my card, a 6950 1GB, will only recognize a monitor in 1 out of the 2 slots for some reason.

So if I were to replace my card so that I can dual monitor what would be a good replacement? Rest of my specs: AMD Phenom II X4 965, 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3, 1920x1080p resolution.

I am not looking for a huge improvement just something to replace it with so I can dual monitor.

Thanks.

660 or 760 would work, i use a 660 and dont have any problems using 2 screens at 1080p, though it only has 1 hdmi slot so you'd need a dvi cord or adaptor

That card supports 3 way monitors. I'd get a adaptor or something. I believe it will do 3+1 too.

Ok my card has 2 big slots, only the top one works, and 2 little horizontal ports next to the top slot. Can I use one of those ports for a second monitor? What cable would I need?

What is the brand of your card? They could be DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort

If it's that one you have 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 2 Mini DisplayPorts
