You have no business doing this on your own and should have someone else do it for you... if you can't even figure out the most basic router steps you should either learn them or just have someone else do it for you.

On my router the password is under it. I think it starts with WPA or something like that. I mean there is a sticker with the original password on it. Should consist of a whole bunch of numbers and letters.

Open a web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (assuming we are talking about a Linksys) A dialog box should prompt you for a username and password. By default the name should be blank and the password will be "admin" without the quotes. Unless this was previously changed.
Once inside navigate to the wireless tab and check the password there.

Can you figure out the model number of your Linksys router? It should be somewhere on the device, like on a sticker on the bottom. Once you have the model number, go download the manual from Linksys' website. Then read said manual and things will make more sense.
