Am I the only one who cringes just a bit when you see GPU reviews...

When you see a customer review of a fairly high end GPU and the person says "runs everything at maximum, Diablo 3, WoW and even League, great upgrade!"

It's like uh... you didn't do your research did you? I don't know, I just see this a lot and feel bad for the people who buy a card WELL above what they wanted/needed but I kind of cringe at their ignorance at their same time...

Tell me I'm not a bad person and you get a little kick out of such things as well lol...

I buy whatever I want...usually the highest end thing I can get at the time. That way I have room to grow, why would I buy a 770 if I can easily get a 780ti? That sets me up for the future.

780 TI runs WoW without a hitch!!!!

My 770 runs Halo: Combat Evolved totally maxed, doesnt even make a dent in the 2gb of VRAM.

Great buy

My brother spent a lot of money putting his computer together, and plays Final Fantasy XI and Flash games exclusively.

They probably upgraded from garbage and will put it to better use in the future.

Either way, there are waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too many people buying things they don't need or overspending for me to give a f*** about any of it.

That second part is very true...

I just think of the whole high-end GPU in a low-end PC as a similar kind of situation as all those people who went out and bought an HDTV... only to realize they don't actually have any HD channels and they now need a new cable package and set top box.. it's like, oops. Ah well, I imagine that's very much a part of the marketing when it comes to technology, get people to adopt/buy it long before it's actually relevant.
