I just dished out $60 for a game on steam that I can't even play.

Doesn't Steam support guarantee one refund with your account?

Nothing official, but that's what I keep hearing.

In this case (he owns a mac, hasn't been able to even start it up once) he'll likely get a refund if he asks without having to invoke the "just this one" Policy... it's my understanding that they don't refund often if you've actually played it unless there's something dreadfully wrong with it...

TC needs to get used to looking for the "SteamPlay" logo on games he buys... Either that or shop directly from the "Featured Mac Games" list on the store page.

I got so caught up in wanting to play Rome Total War 2 that I didn't even stop to notice that it's only available for play on windows. I own a mac.

****ing so pissed off and just overall disappointed with myself. I usually always check to make sure so things like this don't happen.

Just felt like venting on here.

get vmware and run it on there

the adobe suite is just as fast on windows as it is on OSX

there's literally no benefit to using OSX over windows for graphics design work.

I believe that's a holdover from the G3/G4 etc. days when the CPUs were faster than the Pentium II/III etc. in certain applications and Adobe had optimizations for the G3/G4, now that Macs are basically using standard PC hardware components the only thing differentiating them are aesthetics, OS, and Thunderbolt.

Yeah me too. It's so annoying to see people that blame Steam when they do zero research beyond add to cart button.

you can just send a message to steam support, i have had a game not work for me before (although it wasnt because it was a mac/pc not paying attention thing) and got a refund, pretty sure you might be able to as well.

You do know 3ds max sucks and Autodesk Maya is the industry standard right? You're 14 years too late.
