I actually use it more as a bookmarking tool so I don't lose track of the games I'm interested in. I have over 20 games on there. >_>

Yup, as bookmarks for games I might buy and play in the future.

Of course, the wishlist helps friends that wants to gift you birthday and christmas gifts. The ranking feature is quite neat.

yeah as bookmarks mostly, but also for x-mas gifts.
My circle of friends all update their wishlist so that the top 10 are actually games they want when it comes close to x-mas.

Mostly for both first and second reasons, perhaps a bookmark for some few games.

Stuff usually gets cleaned when the desired sale hits, be it either buying the game or removing it from the list.
