Got a Samsung monitor today. HDMI to VGA cable for consoles possible?

I bought a Samsung 2233 monitor today at a yard sale for $10 and it has 1080p, along with HDCP. Will I have issues with any consoles? I plan on using it for my computer at least for DVI but consoles would be a huge plus. I have the consoles listed in my sig.

HDMI to DVI cable.

You won't get sound with an HDMI to DVI cable for consoles, but I think there's a way around it. With some headset for the 360 you had to have the sound come through the composite cables while the video went through HDMI.

Hdmi > dvi is fine. Hdmi > vga won't work on consoles though.

What consoles? Xbox 360 has its own VGA cable. PS3 might as well.
