My sister spilled water on my laptop keyboard.

What do I do? She nor I have touched it since it spilled inside the keyboard.

do I put the laptop in a huge bag full of rice or something? Unplug the AC cord?

here's my secret and it's worked 100% of the time when my sister, wife, son (intentionally) pore water on my keyboards:

i go outside and start smashing it with a sledgehammer, then I do an occult ritual which leads to it being succumbed into fire, then it comes out brand new.

try it.

Water, eh? Try leaving it to dry over 1-3 days.

Definitely don't unplug it, you will rip a tear in the space-time continuum.

take all the components off of it you can including the battery as soon as possible. place it in a sealed bag and put it somewhere warm with rice in it and the condensation will pull the moisture out of the laptop and into the rice..... hope for the best lol

Unplug it, remove the battery, wait a few days. If it was really just water, it should be fine.

Also your sister gets 10 lashes.

Do this but whip her 15 times instead

the lol is for the fact that water just came in contact with sensitive electronic equipment and apparently he still has it plugged in. best chance for saving his laptop would have been to pull the plug and remove the battery.

best case scenario is the laptop has a insert under the keys designed to catch particles from getting down into the laptop and it caught the water saving everything underneath. which i have found in a few brands of cheap laptops over the years. As i haven't played with the insides of laptops in years i don't know if that is still done by some makers or all of them.
