Is AMD going to put out any new processors?

I bought a motherboard that apparently only support AMD processors :(

There's no such thing as a motherboard that supports both intel and AMD processors.

What socket?

Most of AMDs focus is on APUs these days, but yes they are still putting out new models.

Also, why would you buy a motherboard without knowing what your planning to put in it, CPU especially?

If you're talking AM3+ the 8350 and it's factory overclocked cousins are as high as it goes as far as the roadmap goes for now. Not that they're remotely bad processors. Otherwise most of the focus is on the APUs on FM2, which shouldn't shock anyone as pretty much all consumer grade intel chips the past few years have been APUs too.

I bought an AMD motherbaord because I was planning to use the FX6300. Since that is a decent budget processor.

Are they going to be able to compete with Intel in terms of gaming?

I feel like we need more information if you want any legitimate help. The FX 6300 is a fine budget choice, why are you second guessing that now? Isn't that something you should have decided BEFORE spending the money on the parts?

I just don't understand what you want from us, or why your here.

I just want to know if AMD is going to put out newer and more powerful processors in the future when I want to upgrade.
