How's this PC for gaming?

#1Binba442Posted 5/12/2014 8:20:55 AM
http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/-b-NEW-b-Destroyer-GTX-660-94p1887.htm

619 GBP (1045.49USD, but I think the pound got better/Dollar got weaker recently)

Intel Core i5 4440 (4x 3.1Ghz)
Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Mainboard
8GB DDR3 1333Mhz
500GB HDD
22x DVDRW
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB
Corsair Carbide 200R Case
Corsair VS 450W PSU

Building isn't really an option for me, but I can upgrade in the future. How is it for right now? What can it run Titan Fall on? Can it run skyrim on High (ish?). I'm not looking to play Watchdogs or anything like that though.

And how good is www.dinopc.com anyways, I'm in the UK, so It might be harder to ship from some US companies?

My initial thought was that seems kind of high for those specs, but maybe I just haven't checked prices in a while.

Anyway it will do what you want it to do, but a little better gpu wouldn't be a bad idea.

It will be able to run Skyrim at Ultra 1080p/60fps with the official HD resolution pack. Cant say for mods like ENBs, these can be quite demanding.

Titanfall maxed, this game is not demanding at all.

It will run Watchdogs at ~high, could even by ultra with AA set down a little, and maybe shadow quality.

Over priced, bit of a mish mash of components but over all it should play most everything with a mix of high to highest settings, minus a couple of the super demanding lighting and AA options.

That's pretty good to hear.

50 more gets you a K processor and more storage space, they're based in Sunderland so if you're anywhere near there can go pick up.

Not much weaker than my PC. But I built mine for $700 a year ago, so it's definitely over priced.

But it'll do fine for gaming if you don't mind spending enough money to build a high end machine to buy a mid ranged machine.

The i5 is fine. The slower speed might make things take a bit longer to process.

The mobo is not fine, unless you planned on using cross-fire down the road. If not, grab the H87 version.

You might want a 3 or 4 gb gpu card for mods on Skyrim.

The H87 is cheaper. I'll probably go for that, how's it different?
1TB HDD is 10 more, I'd probably go for that too.

You can customize it. Any suggestions from there?

Which is a better card?
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB
or the
GeForce GTX 660 2GB

The first one was cheaper.
