N e 1 have trouble w/ gtx 770 freezes

#1macmahon187Posted 5/12/2014 6:43:05 PM
I've been getting random freezes and restarts. I read about this happening with gtx 770's on tomshardware. Didn't know if anyone else had this issue.

Nope, been using my 770 for about 3 months now. I haven't had a single freeze or restart happen to me, and I've always been updating my drivers every time a new one releases.

Well I've tested everything out. Temps are good all around. Thought it might have been the HD but tests show everything is good. Did a quick search on the card and saw where some people have had this happen.
Is afterburner good enough to stress test the card?

Afterburner is good, let it run for an hour or so. Make sure to monitor temps and power usage. Can you post the rest of your specs, including your PSU?

Like I said, I personally haven't experienced any issues with my card. Of course if you type into google "XXX" GTX randomly freezes a lot of topics are going to pop up, because people may have similar issues for many different reasons.

You don't have your PSU in there. Run afterburner and post Max GPU Usage %, Max Temps, and Max Power %.

As far as I know that PSU even new can only supply about 600W. So the PSU might be something to consider when looking at this problem. For now tho, run some tests and lets see if anything sets it off.
