How many mouse buttons is enough for you?

As little as 5 and as many as 8

any less I'd me missing something and any more I'd be button searching.

I have 9 right now. If I were shopping for a new mouse I could probably go as low as 7 but not less than that.

5-7 is good. My Orochi has 7 buttons and I rarely use two of them.

It's kind of amusing how people always say you don't need extra mouse buttons until they actually have a mouse with them, and then they say they could never go back to just left and right click

I have a mouse with a few extra buttons, and I've never touched them.

It depends on what games you play really. If you play games where you have dozens of abilities to use (think stuff like MMOs where you have 4+ hotbars of abilities and want to be using WASD to always be moving), a mouse with a lot of buttons gives you a pretty insane edge. Being able to have 20+ abilities all on your mouse and never taking your hands off WASD is definitely what's up and I could never go back to any other way.

I also forgot to say earlier, how can anyone broswe around without side buttons for forward/back actions in broswer.
Literally best feature for everyday use.

I concur, why move your mouse to click back / forward or use multi-key keyboard shortcuts, when it can all be done in 1 button

I don't really ever go back or forward. I just click the bookmark to go to the next page.
