Yes, though only at huge discounted prices, and if benchmarking programs don't count.

When I built the rig I'm running, Bioshock Infinite was like, $5 on sale. I bought it knowing that it had a benchmark test, and though I knew I would play it eventually, I have done more benchmarking than playing.

I bought Crysis in 2009 just to see if my PC would run it at reasonable FPS levels. Had a phenom II X2 550 and a 4870 512mb version at the time.
