You're asking a question based on a lot of subjective criteria.
I think it's a "good" game, yes. But at the same time I didn't find it as entertaining as Dark Souls 1, and I can certainly understand why some of the things in it would turn off some people.
If you like a challenge and seeing a good amount of unique enemies/gear, then I would guess that you'll like it. If the thought of dying a lot turns you off, then it may not be for you. --- i5-3570k @ 4.2ghz | 16GB DDR3 | Nvidia 670 2GB SLI | 1TB HD x2
I've only played Dark Souls 2 and I've spent over 150 hours on just one character. Most people spend a lot of hours on many different characters and builds since the replay value is so high. It's one of the better games out there. --- Asus Sabertooth X58 | MSI GTX 760 2gb | i7 950 @3.07GHz | Freezer Pro 7 v2 | Corsair 12gb 1600MHz | 1000W PSU | Crucial 128gb SSD | Ducky dk2108 | Logitech G500
