ABP breaking pages?

#1jakisthePosted 6/7/2014 4:03:16 PM
So I've a really irritating issue as of late. My tabs were taking forever to load, so in an effort to fix them, I tried disabling all my extensions. My tabs open fine, buuut:
-if it has ANY ads whatsoever, it freezes the page and loads forever.
-if I turn ABP on, those same pages simply don't load at all and I can't even access the quick menu/new tab on chrome.

Extremely irritating, and I have no idea what the fix might be. Any ideas?

Latest chrome, and windows 8.1 if it matters.

I use Chrome, but Adblock Plus sucks on Chrome because they just copied the one for Firefox poorly and still haven't gotten it right.

Uninstall it and get the plug-in Adblock, it was actually made for Chrome, works better, and doesn't have the "allow un-intrusive advertising feature" (aka whoever pays the guy who made ABP money). You can set your own whitelist.

Adblock for Chrome doesn't block ads, only hides them. This is an issue that cannot be resolved because that's just the way Google likes it.

Upgrade to Firefox. It's the better browser anyway even without addons.

Adblock for Chrome has been blocking ads since 2010...
