Crysis 1 steam question

#1sonicteam2k1Posted 6/7/2014 5:54:42 PM
I was wondering why can't you redeem the key on Origin? I was able to redeem my keys for Dead Space 1 and 2, Alice, Gatling Gears, Bulletstorm but the Crysis 1 or Warhead won't work.

The short answer is "because". There is never and there has never been a guarantee that a key that works on one service will or would work on another.

EA decided you shouldn't do that, and given it's their game and their service, their word is Law.

Ask Crytek. And frankly I'm shocked you could redeem the others. If it's not a steamworks game usually you can't. Wait wait, you said steam in the title then referenced Origin. If you want to redeem Crysis on Origin you have to use a page for games made before 2010. Search Origin help and it should be easy enough to find.

Some roads you shouldn't go down because maps used to say there'd be dragons there. Now they don't, but that don't mean the dragons aren't there.

well yeah because I bought the games on steam and EA usually makes you log in to an origin account to even play them on Steam. And I was able to take the CD keys for most of the games and enter them into Origin and they worked.

I'm in the middle of a match of BF4 so here's the quick and dirty version https://activate.ea.com/activategame.do if that site doesn't work contact EA support and they'll manually add it.

to add games that are older like 2009 and earlier, you need to create a EA classic account and link it to your origin account. then redeem the key using the form that Orestes417 posted
