$315 for a quad core celeron with a 1366x768 11.6" touch screen and 4 gigs of ram. I'm kinda tempted by this myself, I want something for steam streaming and my first gen atom netbook doesn't cut it.

Just so you know, that's regular price, not sale price TC.

The t100 isn't bad either. I guess it just depends on what you think would be more important to him, power or portability.

10" convertible vs 11.6" laptop
1.2ghz quad vs 2.0
2 gigs of ram vs 4

The MSRP on the dual core version of that laptop is $330

He's not going to do much power-intensive. He's the head of a small upstar film studio, so he mostly just needs e-mail, word documents, and the occasional picture/video editing (but nothing intensive like adding visual effects; just fixing redeye, etc, from photo shoots)

The extra ram would help with pictures if he's working with high quality images but it doesn't sound like it'd be absolutely necessary, I wouldn't recommend any real editing on either though as I doubt the screens are too terribly accurate.

In that case, average price, not a good sale price.

Anyway, go with the K200MA unless you think he needs a tablet. Best Buy has it for $280 right now.

Yeah, he mostly uses his desktop for heavy editing.
