How many hours of entertainment does this game bring to the table on average?

Depends, I enjoy it. IMO deftly worth $5.

I enjoy it, but the story isn't long and there isn't much reason to play without finishing it. It is pretty repetitive however, and in general it's a pretty easy game.

It's definitely worth 5 dollars though, and if you enjoy it and want a bigger challenge, look into the Breakdown DLC.

I tried it... it was ugly and boring.

I got it on sale a month ago or so. Something is really messed up with the black levels. It makes it insanely hard to see during the day, and basically impossible during the night. Seems to be a common problem with no real solution according to the steam forums. Haven't even been able to kill more than 3 or 4 zombies because I can't see anything.

Dark is supposed to be dark. there are no lights anymore, they zombies have a harder time seeing you at night to but if you use a flashlight they can see it if they are facing your direction.

As for TC. It's worth $5, I paid full for it and all of it's DLC with no regrets. but it's not for everyone, If you try to play it as you would dead rising or some of the other zombie games out there like left for dead, your going to die..a lot. and your characters are perma-death so a death is costly. As said above me here, night is dark, If your going to go raiding for supplies at night, be very slow and cautious. If you like Survival horror with a strong leaning on the "survival" side then you will probably like it.

(Also, if your a fan of the classic zombie movies or the zombies in the media in general...their are Easter eggs and references everywhere.)

I bought it for $10 a couple weeks ago and feel I got my monies worth, $5 is a great buy.

I've put 20 hours in and it feels like I'm very close to the end.

I'd say $5 is more than a fair price for it. It's fun for a while, I'd like to see a more fleshed out version someday.
