I just managed to upgrade to Windows 8.1 through the store but the problems just won't stop. Now my PC is caught in a restart loop for some reason. No errors, nothing. I just got past setting up OneDrive when it spontaneously restarted (usual power off or restart popping type sound) and just kept getting past the Windows loading icon and restarting. Wtf?
Also, tried a refresh and it's still saying the f***in Win8 media is not valid
EDIT: I can boot with Safe Mode and it set up 8.1. So my laptop clearly has 8.1 on it, and why it's being thrown into a reboot loop, I have no clue. --- Sent from my iPod touch via PowerFAQs 1.14 Welcome to GameFAQs, where girls are made up, and the guys don't matter.
If I were to guess, the problems are probably either driver related or hardware related (since it worked in safe mode).
Try disabling automatic restart and seeing what the error is if it still reboot loops.
Disabling auto restart didn't do anything, just blank screened me for ages before I restarted, that was the first thing I tried. I just ended up clean install of 8 again. I'm getting a new laptop when I get some mo ney --- Sent from my iPod touch via PowerFAQs 1.14 Welcome to GameFAQs, where girls are made up, and the guys don't matter.
