Is Dragon Age: Origins still a viable game to play in 2014?
I dunno, I think my copy expired last month. It smells a little bit, but there's nothing growing on it so I don't wanna throw it away.
One day, when I am too old for adventuring, I will settle down and open up a little armor shop called, "Victorious Secret."
Still? It's only five years old...
Seriously, because there have been some MONUMENTAL leaps in gameplay/graphics in the last five years right? Lol.
Asus P8Z68-V LE | Core i7 2600K | 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 | Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Windforce OC
PS3 | PS2 | PSP| Wii | 3DS | DS | X-Box 360 | X-Box | NES
a good game is a good game regardless of how old it is.
if youll like it comes down to what you didnt like about DA2 to an extent. its gameplay is basically the same only more tactical in that theres none of that enemy spawning crap and relys more on party/skill allocations. Everything else is better in origins minus a few positive tweaks that 2 did.
Currently playing: Wolfenstein TNO - Transistor - Dishonored
I wouldn't even debate here. Is a game 5 years old viable?
I don't even know what to say to such a stupid question.
I think the game (as much as ME) showed Bioware was declining (their declines which was not started only by EA -> you have to remember that the fact you're a stupid enough bunch to be with EA means you lost the smarts to make the games you used to) but it always was in the "worth playing" category.
At least, now that its in packaged with DLCs for a fair price instead of having NPCs tell you "please buy this DLC to get this quest".
I'm playing it right now and it's decent. I'm liking it but it's not as good as KOTOR imo.
Live long and prosper.
Great game, and somehow girls seems love it.
I am proud to be weeaboo.
Well considering you like a terrible game like Mass Effect, then yes, you will probably like Dragon Age: Origins unless you hate more dialogue choices and less linear environments.
Pretty much the last good/decent game made by Bioware.
EDIT: Oh, but I would strongly suggest you check out nexusmods website for mods. Dragon Age: Origins becomes 10x better if you mod it.
I've beat Dragon Age: Origins like 15 times, it's really fun because of the party system, but the game itself is horrible. The combat is pretty eh, the story is alright, the graphics are down right bad and were bad the day the game came out, some of the missions are among the worst in the history of video games though. There is one part in particular that is so bad that it's almost mandatory to use a mod to remove it.
Still, the party system makes that game. I find it really, really fun to play a healer and just support the AI in that game and set up intricate AI plans. It sounds boring, but it was fun enough for me to put hundreds of hours in the game despite the mountain of flaws
Well, I found the game quite boring
same here. After the origin story I was bored and stopped playing. I guess it was just too "epic" for me (since that's the word they were throwing around when it first came out).
Is xenogears? Shadows of Amn? Persona 4? Chrono?
